I’m Natalie. Mother, ceramicist, and lifelong creative.

Roca is my maiden name. It’s a connection to my Argentine family and to the hands, stories, and traditions that came before me. Making with my hands has always felt like a way of staying connected to where I come from, and clay gave me a way to carry that forward.

It all started with a pottery class brochure that sat on my fridge for two years. I finally signed my oldest daughter up for the class, and when she decided she didn’t want to go back, I thought, well, it's time for Mom to take the class.

That was the beginning.

I work from my home studio in Ojai, California, creating minimal, functional and ornamental stoneware ceramics in small batches. Every piece is shaped by hand on my wheel, fired slowly, and finished with food-safe glazes. Nothing is mass-produced, and no two pieces are ever exactly alike.

In my first year in business as a fulltime creative with Roca Ceramics, my pieces were featured in SAVEUR Magazine, Santa Barbara Life & Style Magazine, and Truly Crunchy Magazine.

I’m interested in the kind of objects that quietly become part of your life, the mug you reach for every morning, the plate that elevates your simple tuesday dinner, the piece on your shelf you can tell people was humanmade, one-of-a-kind and not mass-produced.
