Agua de sandia
Share
It's summer. It's hot. All you can think about is something cold, crisp and dripping with condensation and hydration. Agua de sandia is that drink.
And the good news is.. watermelon isn’t technically an electrolyte, but it does contain electrolytes!
A win is win.

Ingredients:
- 2 limes (1 for juice, 1 for garnish)
- one 3-4 lb ripe watermelon
- 1 1/2 cups water
- coarse sea salt
- ice cubes
Directions:
- Cut one lime in half and cut one lime in quarters
- Cut your watermelon in half and begin to cut it into 2-inch-sized pieces. This is all going into a blender, so rough cutting doesn't matter.
- Juice the lime that's been cut in half.
- Blend watermelon and lime juice + add a pinch of coarse sea salt.
- Fill 2 cups with ice
- Grab a fine mesh strainer and pour mixture into each cup
- Add lime wedge garnish and enjoy
I hope you find this as refreshing as I did!
